About our leaders

Dr. Williams is a native of Winston-Salem, NC and the eldest of three siblings born to Alvestus, Jr. & Doretha Williams.  He is the husband to Emily Alexander Williams and the father of three children, Johnny, Johnnetta and Timothy, Jr.  Dr. Williams dedicated his life to the LORD Jesus Christ as a born-again believer at the age of twelve and was baptized by the Reverend Dr. Jerry Drayton, Pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, NC.  He preached his initial sermon and was licensed at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor, Reverend Dr. Samuel James Cornelius.  His catechism and ordination was administered by the Ordination Committee of the High Point Educational and Missionary Baptist Association, Inc.  Dr. Williams loves God with his whole heart, mind, soul and strength and loves his neighbors as he loves himself.  He also believes and stands firm of the belief that to live is Christ and to die is gain.  He strives continually to present his body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is his reasonable service.  Dr. Williams is a humble, obedient and faithful servant of God who has embraced His grace, mercy and divine favor.  He knows that after all that he has said, done and been through that if it had not been for the Lord who was on his side he would be dead and in a grave, BUT God kept him in His hand and gave him another chance.  Dr. Williams is the educational fruit and labor of the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System where he was awarded a High School Diploma from R.J. Reynolds High School.  He furthered his educational knowledge and achievements and was the recipient of an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Winston-Salem State University, a Master of Ministry Degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Theology Degree from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.  Dr. Williams is the Pastor of Yadkin Star Baptist Church of Lexington, NC.  He is a Member of the High Point Educational & Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. and a Member of the Minister’s Division of the Congress of Christian Education of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. 

Lady Emily A. Williams

Lady Williams is charged with fervent prayer and supplication as she aids and assist the pastor in a multiplicity of functions. She is charged to be the help meet for her husband/pastor and an additional spiritual intercessor for the body of Christ.
